Spiritual Leadership

The church languishes for true leaders, leaders not of the articulate kind but of the qualified kind. A.W.Tozer had this to say, "It is not enough however, that the man of God preach the truth. He has no right to take up a man's time telling him what is true merely...A church wither as surely under the ministry of souless Bible expositions...All spiritual teaching should be related to life." (Of God And Men)

This section is primarily related to the 'messenger' more than an exposition on various subjects, themes and doctrines (for the messenger). It voices the concern of Paul, wherein he said "that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works" (II Timothy 3:17)

The Way of the Remnant

Most of the articles and messages here were spoken at camp meetings and other such gatherings and the reader must try to get into the spirit and mind of listening, and not only of reading. In speaking, the messenger can see by the faces before him where repetition or reemphasis or fuller elucidation is called for. This explains why many of the articles here does not have the character of a precise literary production. It has its difficulties for readers, but it also has its values.

My advice to the saints is that they should not attempt to read a lot at once. Almost every page requires thought and meditation; weariness can only overtake one if too much is read without quiet meditation.

May the Lord help the reading of these message result in a fuller understanding of God’s call upon your life!
